Michael Catapano, MD graduated from Georgetown University Medical School in 1979. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Duke University and his Emergency Medicine Residency at Denver General. Additionally, he spent two years in the Public Health Service. He has been in General Practice on the East End of Long Island for over 20

He has been in General Practice on the East End of Long Island for over 20 years. Karen Catapano graduated from Newton-Wellesly Nursing School in 1982 and received her MPS from LIU in 1990. She has been involved in fitness and wellness on the East End for over 30 years.

Semaglutide Information
Semaglutide (the active ingredient in Ozepmic and Wegovy) and tirzepatide (the active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound) will lower the blood sugar and reduce hunger and are useful medications for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and long-term weight management. They are peptides similar to the hormone glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1.) With our lifestyle management weight loss program, we administer weekly injections of Semaglutide and provide nutrition and exercise plans to optimize weight loss and improve health. After the initial 12 week phase at our Cutchogue medical office you may choose to continue the weekly visits or opt to visit monthly and have the medication sent directly to your home where you would self administer your weekly dose. Our program is designed to provide long term permanent weight loss, improve mobility and strength and decrease the health risks that are associated with being overweight.
